Ceretain is a Food for Special Medical Purposes containing L-methylfolate.

  • L-methylfolate is an active form of folate3 that addresses part of a complex deficiency found in over 70% of sufferers of depression.

  • Numerous studies, going back to the 1960s, show an elevated incidence of folate deficiency in patients with depression

  • L-methylfolate is more bioavailable than folic acid; it efficiently crosses the blood-brain barrier where it aids in the synthesis of mood-regulating neurotransmitters.
